JeI only organisation capable of ensuring political stability: Talat Majid

Pulwama, Sept 13 : Dr. Talat Majid, an independent candidate backed by Islamia (JeI) for the Pulwama constituency, made a strong case for the role of Jammat in ensuring political stability.
Addressing the supporters on Friday at Koil village of Pulwama, Dr. Majid, said that JeI is the only organisation capable of securing lasting stability in society, which he believes is key to advancing education and economic development.
“Political stability means ensuring the safety, security, and dignity of every individual,” Dr. Majid said.
He argued that a stable political environment is essential for addressing social issues like drug abuse, which he attributed to poor education system and economic hardships that fail to meet the aspirations of the youth.
Dr. Majid stressed that his primary focus is the youth, and he called on them to take charge of their futures by making responsible decisions in the present.
He criticised politicians who provoke young people but fail to deliver on promises of safety and security, urging instead for leadership that protects citizens’ dignity and property.
Reflecting on Kashmir’s political history, Dr. Majid highlighted the failures of successive governments in erstwhile state since 1947, citing events in 1979 and 1987 as evidence of their inability to provide safety and security.
