JAMMU, Feb 19: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Jammu tomorrow, a multi-tier security arrangement has been implemented, with the entire Jammu District designated as a ‘no-fly zone’ (temporarily red zone) for drones and quadcopters by the J&K Police.
Teams from the National Security Guards (NSG) and the Special Protection Group (SPG) have assumed control over the entire MAM Stadium and its surroundings to ensure foolproof security for the Prime Minister’s scheduled rally tomorrow.
The J&K Police, along with other security agencies, have deployed a comprehensive security blanket across the entirety of Jammu district. All entry and exit points of Jammu have been sealed, and rigorous checks are being conducted on every vehicle and individual passing through.
A dry run was conducted this afternoon from Jammu airport to Maulana Azad road, as restrictions and diversions have been implemented to facilitate smooth traffic flow in the city tomorrow.
Security forces have identified a total of 48 locations for parking vehicles carrying people from different parts of J&K to the venue of Modi’s public rally at MAM Stadium.
