Anantnag, 26 May: As part of the University’s ongoing Academic Outreach Program, School of Sciences, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), conducted comprehensive Outreach Programmes at Government Degree College (GDC) Khanabal and select higher secondary schools in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. The initiative aimed to promote the academic and infrastructural advancements at IUST and to foster scientific temper among young learners.
As part of its initiative to connect with grassroots educational institutions, the outreach focused on introducing students and faculty to the evolving landscape of scientific education and research. Senior faculty members from the School of Sciences engaged with students, teachers, and administrators through interactive sessions highlighting IUST’s modern laboratory infrastructure, advanced instrumentation, innovative teaching practices, and strong research culture.
The outreach emphasized the School’s diverse academic offerings, including undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Data Science, Environmental Science, and Multidisciplinary Science. Faculty also elaborated on curriculum enhancements aligned with the NEP-2020, promoting flexibility, interdisciplinarity, and skill development
