Awantipora, May 21: As part of its ongoing mission to promote scientific awareness and academic engagement, the School of Sciences at Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) successfully conducted its Outreach Programmes across various Government Higher Secondary Schools in twin districts of Pulwama and Anantnag.
The initiative aimed to inspire students by fostering a scientific temper, introducing them to emerging technologies, and informing them about educational opportunities at IUST. Faculty members from the School of Sciences led interactive sessions featuring lectures, demonstrations, and open discussions. These engagements highlighted the significance of science and technology in contemporary society and encouraged students to envision themselves as future innovators and problem-solvers.
Students received detailed insights into undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by the School in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Environmental Science. The outreach team also addressed queries related to science curricula, career paths, research prospects, and national-level competitive exams.
The sessions witnessed participation from students as well as faculty of the host institutions, who welcomed the initiative and expressed a strong interest in continued collaboration.
