Jammu, Feb 19: An international workshop on “innovations in research methodology and quality concerns in pedagogical studies: NEP-2020 in blended mode” concluded here on Sunday.
The first speaker of the technical Session was Dr. Nada Ratkobie, Assistant Professor split University Croatia (Europe). She focused on the importance of research and the various skills required by researchers. She stressed problem-solving skills, creative thinking, analytical skills, accuracy and reliability in research. The second speaker was Dr. Arun Kumar Punia, Assistant Director Manipal University celebrated the topic of NEP-2020 and research. He highlighted the salient features of NEP-2020 with special emphasis on the research ecosystem in the colleges. It was interactive and brainstorming with hands-on practice.
In the second session, key resource person Dr. Sandeep Kumar Pathak, IISER, Bophal deliberated on the topic “Resend trends in Academic Libraries, challenges and opportunity”. His focused areas were services through automation, online e-resource management, software for plagiarism and the latest trends in the academic library second session was followed by a valedictory function where Principal Prof. Aekta Gupta congratulated Research and Development Cell, faculty from spoke colleges, faculty of the Govt College of Education, Jammu and students of the college for the successful organization of the event.
The chief guest during the valedictory session was Abdul Majid Bhat, Director Finance Higher Education Department. J&K. During his visit, he inspected the various zones of the colleges and thereby promised to provide the appropriate grants required in different aspects.
In his address, he appreciated the endeavours of GCOE, Jammu to bring the dreams of NEP-2020 into reality by organizing such an event. He promised to fulfil the genuine financial demands of college along with one college bus. The guest of honour was Padam Shri Mohan Singh Salathia, Present Dugger Manch. He stressed the use of the Dogri language and the promotion of the mother tongue in the institutions. The entire programme was coordinated by the entire faculty and students of the college under the leadership of Principal Professor Aekta Gupta.
