Intensify political activities: Bukhari to Uri’s party cadre

Baramulla, Sep 24: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, who made a daylong visit to his home constituency of Uri on Sunday, held a series of meetings with the distinguished leaders and seasoned party workers of the constituency, the party said.
“During these meetings, various party affairs and issues related to the upcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) and Panchayat polls were thoroughly discussed. The constituency leadership provided the party president with a comprehensive briefing about the current political scenario in the area and raised several pressing public concerns,” a party press release issued here said.
During the meeting, Altaf Bukhari urged Uri’s party cadre to intensify their political activities and enhance their public outreach to raise awareness about the party’s pro-people agenda and policies. He emphasized, “The time has come for you to be fully prepared for the upcoming ULB and Panchayat elections. It is your duty to make people realize that the Apni Party is the only party with a clear and transparent agenda for the progress and development of Uri, which has been consistently overlooked by successive regimes in terms of infrastructural development.”
The meetings, chaired by the party president, outlined future strategies and made decisions regarding candidate selection and the proposed election campaign after thorough discussions, the statement said.
The prominent party leaders from Uri who attended these meetings included Vice District President, Syed Mehmood Bukhari; Provincial Secretary Kashmir, Syed Najeeb Naqvi; Constituency Head Uri, Choudhary Mushtaq; Constituency Coordinator, Farooq Ahmad Tantray; General Secretary Uri Constituency, Syed Mushtaq; Deputy Coordinator, Ishfaq Ahmad Lone; Tehsil President Uri, Rafiq Balote; Tehsil President Boniyar, Javid Ahmad Pandilhi; constituency secretary Syed Sabir Hussain; Youth Leader Sheikh Sajad, and others.
Meanwhile, a significant number of people, especially political activists, joined the Apni Party in the presence of the party president, who warmly welcomed the new members, the statement said.
The new members mainly hail from the Mohara, Trilenjar, and Lagama areas of Uri. They include Abdul Rashid Sheikh from the National Conference (NC), Mohammad Yousuf Mir from Halqa Ladi, Ghulam Nabi Malik from Halqa Lari, and Nazir Ahmad Dedar Lagama, who was previously with the Congress party. Those who joined from the Mohara area of the constituency include Kabeer Ahmad Khour, Hassan Khour, Mohammad Shafi Mir, Abdul Hamid Mir, Naseer Ahmad Mir, Abdul Kabeer Mir, Mohammad Asif Khan, Raja Syed Ahmad Khan, Hafizullah Sheikh, Mohammad Rafiq Sheikh, Sajad Ahmad Khan, Aftab Ahmad Sheikh, Mohammad Lateef Tantray, Parvez Ahmad Khan, Bashir Ahmad Tantray, Myloom Ahmad Tantray, Mohammad Ali Thakar, Ghulam Nabi Thakar, Shair Khan Thakar, and others.
