Srinagar, April 28: The Agriculture Production Department has constituted an Information Education and Communication (lEC) Cell under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).
The Agriculture Production Department in an order issued here said that the cell has been constituted to provide an impetus to the IEC campaigns as envisaged under various Projects/Schemes under HADP as well as routine schemes of the Department.
It is aimed to improve upon and monitor all web/lCT based services of the Department under HADP including issues related with DAKSH KISAN & KISAN SATHI etc. portals.
It will be handling social media accounts of the department like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube etc. including sharing success stories, advisories, events etc.
“It will work on innovative tools/strategies to improve transfer of information/technologies to the field for the benefit of the farmers/entrepreneurs of the region,” the order said.
The order said the teams of officers/officials shall work in the cell for a period of three months and shall closely liaise with Dr. Anjum Andrabi (Technical Officer, APD) and Dr. Veer Abhimanyu KouL (Technical Officer, APD) on daily basis.
The department has constituted two teams: A from Jammu Division and B from Kashmir Division for the purpose.
The Jammu team includes Dr Ankit Malik, VAS Biaspur, AHD Jammu (Team Leader), Srikant Sharma, AEA, CSS-Directorate of Agriculture Jammu and Manoti Sharma, AEA, CSS-Directorate of Agriculture Jammu.
The Kashmir team includes Dr. Faisal Hassan Dadmari, VAS-Beerwah Budgam, Sheep Husbandry Department Kashmir (Team leader), Danish Ravi, Assistant Storekeeper, Directorate of Horticulture Kashmir, Reshabh Raina, Assistant Store Keeper, Directorate of Agriculture Kashmir and Altaf Ahmad, Junior Assistant, Directorate of AnimaI Husband Kashmir.
The order said that the teams shall work under the overall supervision of Mission Director, HADP and operate from the Directorates of Agriculture, Jammu/Srinagar.
