Srinagar, Dec 19: In a concerted effort to empower orchardists and promote sustainable horticulture practices, the Horticulture department of District Srinagar organized a comprehensive one-day Training and Awareness programme on T under the Modified High Density Plantation (MIDH) scheme.
The training program was presided over by the esteemed presence of Director Horticulture Kashmir, Ghulam Rasool Mir (JKAS), who played a pivotal role in guiding the proceedings. Accompanying him were key figures including Chief Horticulture Officer Srinagar, the Chief Canning and Proceuesdayssing Instructor Srinagar, District Horticulture Officer Srinagar, DL-SMS Srinagar, Horticulture Development Officer Shalimar, Horticulture Development Officer Zakura, and Horticulture Development Officer Zawoora.
Over 100 orchardists, including representatives from Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI’s) in district Srinagar, actively participated in the training camp, emphasizing the widespread interest and engagement within the community.
Director Horticulture Kashmir delivered a comprehensive overview of horticulture schemes, with a special emphasis on Modified High Density Plantation and the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). He urged orchardists to leverage the opportunities provided by these schemes to enhance their agricultural practices.
Chief Horticulture Officer Srinagar addressed the gathering, providing insights into the subsidy incentives offered by the Horticulture Department under the Modified High Density Plantation and HADP scheme. Orchestrators were encouraged to maximize the benefits of these beneficiary-oriented initiatives launched by the Government to boost the agricultural sector.
District Horticulture Officer Srinagar followed with a detailed overview of the beneficiary-oriented schemes, providing valuable insights into the practical aspects and application processes.
