Srinagar, Dec 19: In a function held at Police Public School Srinagar, certificates were given to all the students upon completion of Basic Computer Course. The course meant for fifty girl students of the three districts of Central Kashmir Range that is Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal was organised by Range Police Headquarters Srinagar under the supervision of DIG CKR Sujit Kumar, IPS, as part of Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Civic Action Programme (CAP).
Sajjad Khaliq Bhat, Staff Officer to DIG CKR, Amit Verma, SP West Srinagar, Shah Jahan SDPO West Srinagar as well as teachers and other staff of the school were present on the occasion.
The students were given training in a basic computer course that includes MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It was designed by the computer team of RPHQ Srinagar and lectures were delivered by police officials of RPHQ as well as teachers of Police Public School. During the entire programme, lunch and refreshments were provided every day to all the participants.
Speaking on the occasion, Sajjad Khaliq congratulated all the participants for completing this course. The officer said that J&K Police has been conducting various Civic Action Programmes to help people and increase police-public proximity. He said the Police department will arrange more and more such programmes under its Civic Action Programme in future as well.
