Srinagar, August 26: The Meteorological Centre today issued a weather advisory for Jammu and Kashmir, warning of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in several districts.
The forecast predicts light to moderate rain/thunderstorms at many places, with heavy to very heavy rain expected in Jammu, Reasi, Udhampur, Kishtwar, and Rajouri. Doda, Kathua, and Samba are likely to experience extremely heavy rain.
The weather advisory also cautions about the risk of cloud bursts, flash floods, landslides, and mudslides at vulnerable locations. Residents are advised to stay away from water bodies, river embankments, and loose structures, as water logging and flooding are expected in low-lying areas of Jammu Division.

In light of the forecast, the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been affected.
