Rajouri, Sep 18:Health Department Kotranka is successfully implementing the School Health Program where students are provided health services every Saturday in their classrooms under the supervision of Director Health Services Jammu Dr Saleem Ur Rahman and Dr Abdul Hamid Zarger CMO Rajouri.
The program is being organised by Dr Iqbal Malik BMO Kandi.
A health team visited Govt Middle School Bindi and provided healthcare services.
The health team provided services such as medicalcheck-up, Dental and Eye check-up, screening for health issues and treatment for their minor ailments on the spot.
Besides distribution of iron & calcium tablets, Lab services including Blood Grouping, HB testing, technique of hand washing and Awareness for the importance of menstrual hygiene, use of iodized salt, Mental Health, Anaemia Mukt Bharat etc. were also provided.
Headmaster GMS Bindi Zakir Hussain said that few students attended the school. The reason given by students and teachers was the rumours regarding child kidnappers. Because of the fear of parents not sending their wards to schools.
