Jammu, Aug 21: Google Developers Group Jammu organised a remarkable event ‘Google I/O Extended Jammu’ at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University in collaboration with NSS, the Department of Computer Science at SMVDU and TechFerment. The occasion received support from the chief guest Prof. (Dr.) Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor, along with the presence of Dr. B.K. Bhatia, Training and Placement Officer.
Additionally, key figures such as Nagendra Singh Jamwal, Registrar, Dr. Rajiv Atri, NSS Coordinator, Dr. Baijnath Kaushik, Head of the Department of Computer Science, Dr. K.R. Jha, Dean of Students contributed to the event’s success.
The event seamlessly intertwined both offline and virtual experiences, encompassing a total of six captivating sessions, culminating with a compelling closing session led by GDG Jammu Organizer, Abhinandan Trilokia.
The inaugural session, skillfully conducted by Ashok Vishwakarma, a Google Developer Expert for Web and the Founder/CTO of Impulsive Tech, cast a spotlight on “Getting Started with GraphQL” offering invaluable insights to guide participants into the realm of GraphQL.
Taking the reins for the second session was Zippinderpal Singh, Director of Growth at Alphanumeric Ideas Pvt. Ltd., who delivered an illuminating discourse on “Exploring ML with Google Cloud”. Singh’s expertise added a valuable layer to the event’s diverse range of subjects.
Pranav Kumar, a Senior Engineer at Nagarro, commanded the third session, captivating the audience with a profound exploration of the intricacies of the web in his talk “Deep Dive into the Web”. His session delved into nuanced details, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding.
Rajat Bhardwaj, Senior Systems Analyst at Brambles, led the fourth session, discussing the pivotal role of “Community Contribution”. His talk harmonized with the event’s theme, emphasizing the power of collective efforts.
Vrijraj Singh, Tech Lead at AGPROP, directed the fifth session, steering the conversation towards “Firebase for Web”. His insights offered a practical perspective, enriching the event’s technical discussions.
The event reached its zenith in the sixth session, featuring Suraj Kumar, Staff Software Engineer at Vcomplly. His session encapsulated the core essence of the event, emphasizing innovation and technological advancement.
The event’s flawless orchestration was masterminded by the dynamic coordination team at SMVDU, comprising Aditya Kanodia (GDG Jammu SMVDU Coordinator and Founder @ Befikra Community, a third-year Computer Science student ) along with his seniors supporting as event coordinator along with and mentor to him Suman Saurabh, Suryanshu Raghav, Rinitesh, and Shriyansh Sahu. Their efforts were bolstered by a dedicated team of volunteers
The Matrika Auditorium at SMVDU provided an ideal backdrop for the event, attracting an enthusiastic audience of over 150 attendees.
