Budgam, Apr 29: The District Youth Services & Sports (DYSS), Budgam on Saturday conducted Walkathon 2023, an initiative to create awareness regarding the importance of G-20 Presidency of India/Smart City Project (Srinagar).
In this connection, the DYSS Budgam organised a rally from Railway Bridge Budgam to Behiste Zehra Park under the guidance and supervision of DYSSO Budgam, Gurmukh Singh Dutta in which hundreds of both boys and girls from various schools of the district participated with the great enthusiasm.
The event was inaugurated by Gurmukh Singh Dutta DYSSO Budgam, while senior officials of DYSS office Ghulam Hassan Khandey and Shakeel ur Rehman and other dignitaries of the sports department were also present on the occasion.
Indian Army’s Dhanurdhari Brigade completes a 280 Km Mountain cycling expedition in just four days
Srinagar, Apr 29: In a show of courage and determination, a mountain cycling expedition consisting of 12 Indian Army personnel from the Dhanurdhari Brigade, under the aegis of Fire and Fury Corps, completed a grueling 280 Km journey through the treacherous terrain of Ladakh in just four days.
The expedition, which was flagged off from the Hall of Fame in Leh by the Commander of the Dhanurdhari Brigade on 25th April 2023, had the aim of paying tribute to war heroes and celebrating World Safety and Health Day.
Despite facing tough challenges, the team interacted with veterans and youth of villages, noted the problems faced by veterans, and motivated the youth to join the Indian Army. They paid homage to war heroes by paying their tributes in War Memorials at Leh, Nurla, Kargil, and Dras.
This expedition serves as a testament to the unwavering dedication and commitment of the Indian Army towards the safety and security of the nation. Their efforts in paying tribute to war heroes and motivating the youth to join the army is commendable and inspiring.
