A fresh encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua on Monday night.
This marks the third such encounter in Kathua within the past nine days.
As per reports security forces established freah contact with the terrorists in the upper reaches of Kathua, where three terrorists have reportedly been trapped.
The forces launched a swift operation in the far-flung region, intensifying efforts to neutralize the threat.
Earlier, during counter-terror operation ‘Safiyan’ in the Kathua region, four Jammu and Kashmir police personnel lost their lives in the operation, while two terrorists were gunned down. Security forces recovered war-like stores from the encounter site.
The operation began on March 23, when locals reported the sighting of suspected Pakistani infiltrators in Sanyal.
