A statement said that prospective students can choose their study centre as per their convenience as our study centres are established in almost all the Govt. Degree Colleges of the Kashmir valley including one study centre in SKIMS, NIELIT, Composite Regional Centre Srinagar, Kashmir University, UT of Kargil & Ladakh. One of the special study centres is also in Regional Centre Srinagar where such programmes are available that are not activated at other Learners Support Centres. Students who wish to take admissions in the information technology-based programmes can choose NIELIT Srinagar as one of the study centres and after completing the programmes like BCA, MCA MSCIS, NIELIT’s will support for entrepreneurship among these students as they are offering mentorship and training programs for students interested in starting their own businesses in the IT and electronics sector.

Regional Director, Dr. A. H. Rizvi emphasised the university’s commitment for providing quality, accessible and flexible educational opportunities to learners across the Kashmir Division including the UT of Ladakh. Keeping the request of the stakeholder, in view the University has extended the last date of admission till February 15 to its various programmes for the ongoing academic session in order to accommodate potential learners who were unable to complete their admission formalities within the initially announced timeline. Prospective students who wish to enrol for the ongoing academic session are encouraged to take advantage of this extended deadline. This additional time offers an opportunity for those who may have faced challenges or delays in completing their applications earlier. Dr. Rizvi has communicated to all enrolled IGNOU Learners that the last date of Re-registration for January 2025 has also been extended till 15th February 2025 for all programmes offered in ODL/Online mode. The students are advised to Re-register in their 2nd/3rd year programme in due time to avoid last minute rush. For further inquiries or any assistance, prospective students are advised to contact the regional center Srinagar or visit the official website  i.e. ignou.ac.in or rcsrinagar.ignou.ac.in.
