Srinagar, Nov 19: Ahead of winter season, security forces along the Line of Control (LoC) are maintaining heightened vigilance to counter potential infiltration attempts by terrorists. Top officials of the Border Security Force (BSF) said that they are on alert to foil any infiltration along the borders.
A senior BSF official told Rising Kashmir that the forces are on high alert, ensuring the LoC remains secure. “We are fully prepared to foil any infiltration bids and respond effectively to any emerging threats,” he said.
The official noted that reduced snowfall this year, coupled with intelligence inputs suggesting potential infiltration, has kept security forces on high alert.
“Our forces are prepared to dominate the area even after snowfall, which poses challenges such as reduced visibility, temperature drops, and avalanche risks,” he said.
Regarding the terrorist presence on launch pads on the other side of the border, he said there has been no significant change in their numbers.
“Terrorists are always waiting for an opportunity to cross the LoC. However, the security grid has been strengthened, making infiltration extremely difficult,” he said.
The official said that despite weather challenges posed by recent snowfall, wind speed, and avalanches, our troops are well-prepared and will continue to dominate the area to ensure the safety and security of the region.
“The coordinated efforts of the BSF and Army aim to maintain peace and prevent any infiltration, ensuring the LoC remains secure during the winter months,” he added.
