Srinagar, Nov 19: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday carried out raids at multiple locations in the Tral area of Pulwama district, South Kashmir, on the directions of the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
The searches were conducted as part of an investigation into a case registered under FIR No. 03/2024, under Sections 10 and 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, at Police Station Awantipora.
According to officials, the raids targeted the residential properties of Advocate Ghulam Nabi Thoker at Khankah Midora and Mohammad Jehangir Ahanger at Dadasara.
“During the search of Advocate Ghulam Nabi Thoker’s residence, three books were recovered,” a police officer stated.
The official further added that the evidence collected during the searches would be thoroughly investigated to determine the involvement of the accused in anti-national activities and to ensure judicial proceedings against them.
Earlier on 13 November, NIA attached two-storey residential house in Srinagar’s Zaldagar area, linked to the killing of two non-locals in February this year.
The NIA team along with J&K Police officially attached Langoo’s property as part of the investigation in the case.
As per Order of attachment U/s 25 of UA(P) Act 1967, Adil Manzoor Langoo S/o Manzoor Ahmad Langoo R/o Zaldagar PS Maharajganj in Srinagar. A case has been registered under RC-01/2024/NIA/JMU dated 15.06.2024.
