Srinagar, May 17: In a bid to attract more tourists and promote water sports in Srinagar, a private individual has set up a floating aqua park in Dal Lake, offering visitors a thrilling recreational experience.
The transformation of Dal Lake in recent years has been remarkable, with authorities striving to enhance its allure for tourists who flock to the lake throughout the year. The addition of the floating aqua park adds yet another dimension to the lake’s appeal.
An official described the floating aqua park as a recreational facility built on water, featuring inflatable structures such as slides, trampolines, climbing walls, and obstacle courses. It promises a fun-filled adventure for visitors, set amidst the picturesque backdrop of Dal Lake.
According to a tourism official, recent enhancements at Dal Lake include vibrant fountains, revitalized decks, and the installation of Zorbing balls, further enhancing the recreational options available to visitors.
The manager of the Floating Aqua Park highlighted the recent establishment of the park, attracting visitors of all ages eager to experience its offerings. Trained staff are on hand to guide water sports enthusiasts, with safety precautions such as life-saving jackets provided to ensure a secure environment.
Mohammed Arslaan, a 17-year-old visitor, lauded the initiative, expressing excitement about the opportunity to engage in water sports activities.
The tourism department reiterated its commitment to maintaining the cleanliness of Dal Lake and ensuring its status as a cherished destination for tourists.
