Srinagar, June 26: A fake dentist has been arrested by the police in Kanni Kadal area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
The accused has been identified as Khursheed Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Rashida resident of Kannikadal, was found to be operating an unauthorized dental clinic.
The Srinagar Police revealed that a case had been registered against the fake dentist under section 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). This section deals with offenses related to cheating and dishonesty. The case was registered at the Shaheedgunj Police Station, and further investigation will be carried out by the authorities.
In addition to the arrest, the dental clinic operated by Khursheed Ahmad Bhat was promptly sealed by an executive magistrate. This action was taken to prevent any further unauthorized dental services from being provided at the clinic. The sealing of the clinic ensures the safety and well-being of the public, as unqualified individuals posing as dentists can potentially pose significant risks to patients’ oral health.
