Srinagar, Jul 21: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and DDC Member Srinagar, Er. Aijaz Hussain, on Monday visited Rajbagh, where a devastating fire tragedy left six families homeless and in deep distress.According to a statement issued here, Er Hussain, accompanied by local representatives, met each of the affected families, offering words of comfort and solidarity. Consoling the victims, he said, “I share equal grief with each family. Your loss is not yours alone—it is ours as a community. I want you to know that you are not alone in this tragedy. We are fully committed to providing every possible support to help you rebuild your homes and your lives.”During the visit, he also spoke with Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, and ADC Adil Fareed, urging them to prioritise damage assessment and provide immediate relief assistance. The DC assured that the administration would take swift action to extend all necessary help to the affected households.The BJP leader announced that he will donate his two-month salary to the victims of the fire incident, reaffirming his commitment to stand by the people during their most challenging times.Er Hussain assured the families that he would continue to closely monitor the situation and coordinate with the administration to ensure adequate compensation, rehabilitation measures, and long-term assistance.The affected families expressed heartfelt gratitude for his timely intervention and compassionate response, the statement added.
