Ramban, Feb 24: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Jammu, will conduct ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0’, an awareness and outreach programme, on February 27 at the Conference Hall, DC Office, Ramban. The event aims to address workers’ and employers’ grievances, raise awareness about social security provisions, and provide handholding support to stakeholders.
The Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, Jammu, will personally hear grievances from workers, employers, and industry representatives. Employers and employees from the region will be sensi-tised about grievance redressal mechanisms such as EPFiGMS and CPGRAMS, digital services, fraud prevention, and employees’ rights. The programme seeks to ensure broad-based participation, effective grievance resolution, and enhanced stakeholder engagement.
The event will feature discussions on EPFO schemes, including Provident Fund (PF), Pension, and Insurance, as well as important digital initiatives such as e-Nomination, Online Claim Filing, Principal Employer Dashboard, and UAN KYC updation. A special pension help desk will also be set up to re-solve pension-related queries on the spot. Additionally, the session will cover essential services such as UAN activation, Aadhaar and bank account seeding, online claim filing, e-nominations, e-signing, and ECR filing. The PF Commissioner has urged industries to extend social security benefits to all eli-gible employees from their first day of employment. The Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995, and the Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme, 1976, which provide benefits up to Rs 7 lakh, have been in effect in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh since November 2019. EPFO Jammu welcomes valuable suggestions from stakeholders during the programme.
