Jammu, Feb 28: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Jammu Office in collaboration with the Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) conducted an informative session on Nidhi AapkeNikat 2.0 to spread awareness among the industrial fraternity.
Held at the BBIA Bhawan, the event saw the participation of key stakeholders including Rizwan Uddin, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I, and members of the industrial community, an official statement issued here said.
Welcoming the officials from EPFO Jammu and the industrial fraternity, Lalit Mahajan, President of BBIA, commended the proactive steps taken by the EPFO Jammu Office under the leadership of Rizwan Uddin. He appreciated the initiative to organize seminars aimed at educating the industrial sector about various EPFO schemes, including the Employees Provident Funds Scheme, Employees’ Pension Scheme, and Employees Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme.
During the event, Rizwan Uddin shed light on the initiatives under Nidhi AapkeNikat 2.0, emphasizing key aspects such as E-Nomination, UAN Activation, KYC Updation, and online ECR Filling. He highlighted the salient features of the Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme and the benefits available under the Employees’ Pension Scheme for registered employees.
Addressing concerns raised by attendees, Devinder Singh, Enforcement Officer and Shamsher Singh, Senior SSA, provided insights and addressed queries during the interactive session. Additionally, a Special Pension Help Desk was set up to assist pensioners, with several beneficiaries receiving their Pension Payment Orders (PPO) during the program.
Furthermore, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner Rizwan Uddin inaugurated the session and emphasized the significance of social security in today’s context. He elaborated on the key features of the Employees’ Pension Scheme and the Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme, emphasizing their extension to workers in J&K and Ladakh since November 2019.
The workshop, which lasted for over one and a half hours, facilitated a constructive dialogue between P F Commissioner and stakeholders, addressing issues faced by establishments and employees. An interactive session provided practical guidance on enrollment processes, UAN Activation, online claim filing, and other essential procedures related to EPF & MP Act, 1952 implementation.
Overall, the Nidhi AapkeNikat 2.0 program served as a platform to educate and empower stakeholders, fostering greater understanding and participation in EPFO schemes and initiatives. Similar programs were also conducted in Sonmarg and Ladakh, further extending the reach and impact of EPFO’s outreach efforts.
