Empowering women crucial for society’s dev, says PDP’s Anjum Fazili

Srinagar, Mar 22: The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday held a significant meeting at the party headquarters here, which was convened by former Corporator Sara Nayeema and chaired by the Women’s Wing President, Anjum Fazli.
The gathering saw the presence of senior party leaders, including Iqbal Trumboo, Arif Laigaroo, Dr Ali Mohd and Zuhaib Yousf Mir, along with District Organizing Secretary Bilal Sofi and spokesperson Shokiya Qureshi, the party said in a statement issued here.
During the meeting, Anjum Fazli highlighted the importance of women empowerment and reiterated her commitment to establishing a robust women’s base across Jammu and Kashmir. “Empowering women is pivotal for the overall development of society,” she said.
Sara Nayeema acknowledged the critical role of PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, saying she is the only leader capable of truly addressing the public’s concerns, especially regarding issues that impact women. As part of her vision, Nayeema pledged to strengthen the party’s women’s wing in District Srinagar, aiming to create a more inclusive environment for women in the political landscape.
