Empowering Lives: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’s Transformative Journey in Jammu and Kashmir

In its relentless pursuit of holistic development, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is making significant strides across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, garnering a tremendous response from enthusiastic citizens. As the Yatra unfolds, the Modi government’s commitment to inclusive governance is vividly reflected in the warm reception it receives at every stop. The essence of the Yatra lies in its mission to ensure the saturation of government schemes, leaving no genuine beneficiary behind. Covering more than 3500 panchayats and engaging over 2 million people, the Yatra is a testament to the collective resolve to make India ‘viksit’ (developed) by 2047. One of the primary objectives of the Yatra is to inform citizens about various public welfare schemes, and its impact is evident as citizens from diverse backgrounds take the Sankalp Pledge. The Modi government’s guarantee of progress, symbolized by the ‘Modi ki guarantee wali gadi,’ receives a rousing welcome wherever it goes. Over the past four years in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, numerous steps have been taken to enhance social security and financial inclusion. The Modi government’s initiatives have reached the marginalized sections, ensuring their well-being and financial stability. Financial Inclusion Initiatives include PM Jan Dhan Yojana With 27.35 lakh bank accounts opened, financial inclusion has become a reality for many in Jammu and Kashmir. Also PM Suraksha Bima Yojana has enrolled 16.17 lakh people in J&K, providing crucial accident insurance coverage. Further, PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana with 6.57 lakh enrollments under PMJJBY, offer one-year renewable life insurance, bringing security to families.In Atal Pension Yojana, Over 1.77 lakh people have subscribed to APY, ensuring a sustainable pension for the future. With PM Swamidhi Yojana over 32.54 crore provided as working capital loans, 15,633 beneficiaries in Jammu and Kashmir are now empowered entrepreneurs. In that regard some success stories like of Satpal Sharma – #PMSVANidhiYojana Success: Satpal Sharma from Udhampur shares his journey from being a street vendor to a successful recipient of the PMSVANidhiYojana. The financial assistance revitalized his livelihood, offering stability and dignity. Muhammad Hafiz – Empowered Street Vendor: Determined street vendor Muhammad Hafiz from Poonch narrates how the PMSVANidhi Yojna transformed his business, enabling expansion and self-reliance. He expresses gratitude to PM Modi for pro-poor welfare policies. Mohd Imran – Thriving Entrepreneur: From humble beginnings with Rs 10,000, Mohd Imran’s entrepreneurial journey, supported by PMSVANidhi, showcases the transformative power of the scheme. Starting from a small roadside business, he now meets his family’s needs, thanks to the scheme’s support. Since the Yatra’s commencement, over 21 thousand people have enrolled under Suraksha Bhima Yojna, more than 8000 under Jeevan Jyoti Yojna, and over 3000 camps of PM Swamidhi Yojana have been organized across the UT. The Yatra’s on-spot services have played a crucial role in reaching and benefiting a vast number of people. The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is not just a journey across geographical landscapes but a transformative odyssey that touches lives and fosters empowerment. As it continues to traverse the heart of Jammu and Kashmir, the Yatra embodies the spirit of collective progress and commitment towards a ‘viksit’ and inclusive India.
