Srinagar, July 26: The Director of School Education Jammu has instructed all Chief Educational Officers (CEOs) and Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) to carry out school inspections within their jurisdiction in the Jammu division.
An official document issued by the Director of School Education Jammu said that a meeting was held on 12 July 2024, under the chairmanship of the Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, it was directed that Chief Education Officers, Zonal Education Officers, and Head of the institutions to conduct quality inspections of the Government Schools under their jurisdiction. Strict compliance with these instructions is required from all concerned.
All Chief Education Officers are required to conduct inspections of schools under their jurisdiction at least twice a week, while Zonal Education Officers will conduct inspections at least thrice a week.
Principals and Cluster Heads should conduct inspections and interact with the Head of Institutions at 2-3 schools within their clusters at least once a week.
The Designated Committees established by the Director of School Education Jammu this year will conduct inspections of Private Schools affiliated with JKBOSE & CBSE Schools.
The reports and findings of the inspections must be submitted to the Directorate on a fortnightly basis for onward submission to the Administrative Department.
