In a remarkable display of dedication, Dr. Piyush Singla, IAS, Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department, and the designated Nodal Officer for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2023 on the Pahalgam Axis, undertook an extensive on-foot tour from Chandanwari to the Holy Cave.

Dr. Singla meticulously appraised the pilgrimage track while engaging with hundreds of Yatris, gathering first-hand feedback on the facilities in place.

The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra holds immense significance, drawing in hundreds of thousands of pilgrims to the valley each year, driven by their unwavering devotion to Lord Shiva.

Dr. Singla said that the purpose of this tour was to personally evaluate the existing facilities for the pliligrims and ensure an unforgettable and hassle-free pilgrimage experience for all devotees.

His efforts were focused on assessing the track’s suitability for travel and ensuring essential safety measures at critical locations.

During his interactions with the Yatris, Dr. Singla said that he received resounding positive feedback regarding the arrangements made for their convenience and well-being. This heartening response serves as a testament to the meticulous planning and implementation carried out by the authorities involved.

Throughout his tour, the Nodal Officer held comprehensive discussions with various stakeholders, including security forces, mountain rescue teams, and fire-fighting teams. He thoroughly reviewed the medical arrangements along the Yatra track and expressed satisfaction with the extensive facilities in place. Notably, Dr. Singla highlighted the innovative use of RFID technology, which enables real-time monitoring of every Yatri, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the pilgrimage.

The quality of the way-side amenities, toilet facilities, cleanliness of the track, and arrangements made in the camps were meticulously scrutinized by Dr. Singla.
He personally engaged with service providers such as Pony Wallahs, Pithus, and Bhandara owners, urging them to deliver their utmost in serving the Yatris and ensuring their comfort throughout the arduous journey.

Dr. Singla’s unwavering commitment to the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra is a testament to the government’s dedication to providing a safe and enriching pilgrimage experience for devotees. His meticulous assessment of the facilities, coupled with his interactions with service providers, showcases a proactive approach in addressing the needs of the Yatris by employing advanced technologies and ensuring the highest standards of hospitality.

The conclusion of Dr. Piyush Singla’s on-foot tour leaves no doubt that the authorities are fully prepared to meet the challenges of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2023, fostering an atmosphere of spiritual fulfillment and ensuring the safety and well-being of all pilgrims.
