Srinagar, Dec 02: DPS Srinagar students mesmerized the audience and achieved exceptional success at the prestigious ‘UT Level Kala Utsav’ held in Jammu. The event, celebrating diverse artistic expressions, showcased the remarkable talents of these young individuals across various categories.
Ali Shabir, a student of class 12th, enraptured the audience with his soul-stirring performance on the rabab. Displaying both skill and passion, he secured the much-coveted 1st position in the Instrumental Music – Melodic category. Abeer Ahmad Shah, also a student of class 12th, demonstrated exceptional versatility by flawlessly playing the dholak, noot, and tumbaknari. His flawless command over these percussive instruments led him to claim the 1st position in the Instrumental Music – Percussive category. Abeer’s command over these percussive instruments demonstrated his dedication to his craft.
In the Vocal Music – Classical category, Syed Meeran Geelani showcased his vocal prowess, earning the well-deserved 2nd position. Syed’s captivating performance served as a testament to the rich musical heritage fostered at DPS Srinagar.
Adding depth and harmony to each performance, Raqeem Ahmad Tak skillfully accompanied the students on the harmonium. His contribution played a crucial role in the overall success of the DPS Srinagar contingent.
“We are truly grateful for the tireless efforts and unwavering guidance provided by our remarkable music teachers, Arshid and Maqbool, at DPS Srinagar.
