Ramban, May 11: In continuation of its public outreach programme, the leadership of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) on Thursday visited various blocks of Ramban district including Rajgadh and Gandhri and met hundreds of people.
The efforts are being made by the party leadership on the directions of the chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad to build direct contact with people and make them understand the party’s agenda, the DPAP said in a statement issued here.
“We will continue the programme across the length and breadth of the Union Territory. Our efforts are to establish contact with people to listen to them and their issues. We will also make them understand our party agenda and mission for the better and prosperous future of Jammu Kashmir,” said the party’s vice chairman GM Saroori.
Azad, who is personally focusing on the Chenab valley, will address a massive gathering on May 23 in Ramban, said the party’s general secretary R S Chib, adding, “People admire the leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad and his developmental works in the region. People have not forgotten anything but are hoping for much more and resolve to support DPAP whenever elections take place.”
