Salman Nizami, Chief Spokesperson of DPAP on Sunday rejected the rumors regarding Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), are planning to rejoin the Congress Party and stated it is baseless and fabricated propaganda against the party.
In a statement issued to media, he said that rumours have been circulating in Jammu & Kashmir for the past two weeks, suggesting that Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad and his party, the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), are planning to rejoin the Congress Party
“It is also rumored that Mr. Azad was approached by the central Congress leadership for this purpose,” he said.
In response, Salman Nizami, Chief Spokesperson of DPAP, issued a strong statement said that these rumors are entirely baseless and false.
“Since Mr. Azad left the Congress Party, there has been no contact—neither direct nor telephonic—between him and any Congress leader. These claims are merely an attempt to create confusion and disrupt our party,” he said.
Mr. Azad has urged all DPAP leaders and workers to disregard these falsehoods and has requested media outlets not to give any importance to such unfounded rumors.
