Director Sericulture conducts surprise inspection to check attendance of employees in offices at Srinagar

Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS), Director Sericulture J&K, today paid a surprise Inspection of various Sericulture offices Across District Srinagar, as part of his commitment to ensuring efficiency and accountability within the department.

During the inspection, the Director, Sericulture found certain flaws in the offices ranging from unhygienic conditions in offices and lackadaisical approach of officers and officials to discharge their duties.

Recognizing the seriousness and gravity of this issue, the Director Sericulture J&K immediately took cognizance by issuing on-the-spot instructions to issue notices to the concerned officers and officials thereby seeking explanation from the concerned in order to initiate disciplinary action against them.

Speaking on the importance of maintaining discipline and accountability within the Sericulture Department, Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS) reiterated his unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

He emphasized that such actions are essential to ensure attendance of employees in offices as well as in the field effectively to serve the needs of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and to fulfill the department’s mandate.

In this backdrop, Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat(IAS) constituted the Inspection Committees for both divisions of Jammu And Kashmir. These committees will be tasked with conducting Surprise Inspections to various offices within their respective divisions to monitor attendance of employees and ensure adherence to legitimate duties by all the employees of the Department. Besides, directed them to submit fort nightly reports to the Directorate of Sericulture J&K with their recommendations for Disciplinary action against the officials found absent
