Director CBC, J&K, Ladakh, calls on VC BGSBU

Rajouri, Feb 6: Ghulam Abass, Director, Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh, called on the Vice Chancellor of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Prof. Jawaid Iqbal, at the university campus Thursday.
A statement issued here said that during the meeting, both dignitaries discussed avenues for collaboration between BGSBU and the Central Bureau of Communication in promoting educational outreach, awareness campaigns, and youth engagement initiatives. “The Vice Chancellor highlighted the university’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and community-oriented programs, emphasising the importance of effective communication in today’s digital era,” the statement said.
Abass appreciated the contributions of BGSBU in higher education and assured support for initiatives that align with the CBC’s mandate of information dissemination and public awareness. He expressed keen interest in organising joint programs, workshops, and awareness drives to enhance students’ understanding of government schemes and policies. Prof. Jawaid Iqbal extended gratitude to Ghulam Abass for his visit and welcomed future collaborations that would benefit students, faculty, and the broader community. He reiterated the university’s dedication to working with government agencies to facilitate knowledge-sharing and skill development among youth.
