Srinagar, Dec 20: The Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir, has initiated the process to establish dialysis centres and install 500 LPH RO plants, along with allied infrastructure, in several healthcare facilities across Jammu & Kashmir.
The move aims to strengthen healthcare services in rural and semi-urban areas by addressing critical medical needs.
Under the directive, the concerned officials have been instructed to prepare detailed estimates for the installation of 500 LPH RO plants, loop systems, water storage, transferring pumps, and electricity backup systems with stabilizers. These works will be carried out in strict accordance with government-approved specifications and standards.
The healthcare facilities identified for this initiative include: SDH Duroo, Anantnag, CHC Pattan, Baramulla, CHC Nagam, Budgam, CHC Pakharpora, Budgam, CHC Chandooa, Baramulla, SDH Kangan, Ganderbal, SDH Kralpota, Kupwara, DH Pora, Kulgam, SDH Zanipora, Shopian, CHC Charisharief, Budgam, SDH Tral, Pulwama
The officials have been directed to collaborate with the respective Block Medical Officers to prepare the estimates and submit them within seven days for administrative approval.
Meanwhile, Mian Mehar Ali, the MLA of Kangan, expressed his gratitude to the Minister for Health, Secretary Health, and Director Health Services Kashmir for sanctioning a dialysis centre for SDH Kangan. He remarked, “This is a much-needed development for the region, ensuring quality healthcare for our residents.”
This initiative is expected to bring significant improvements in healthcare infrastructure, providing life-saving dialysis services and ensuring access to clean and safe water in healthcare facilities.
