DGP J&K, GoC 16 Corps jointly preside over high-level security meeting

Jammu, Mar16: Director General of Police, J&K, R. R. Swain, and Corps Commander Lt. Gen NavinSachdeva of the strategic 16 Corps jointly presided over a high-level meeting to review the security situation in the Jammu region, with a focus on the forthcoming general parliamentary elections.
The meeting was attended by senior army commanders and senior police officers from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, including ADGP Law & Order Vijay Kumar, ADGP Jammu Zone Anand Jain, ADGP CID Nitish Kumar, IG BSF. D. K. Boora, province-level senior officers of the central agencies, and representative officers from other central armed police forces, including CRPF.
A wide range of security challenges facing the region were discussed in detail. Coordination modules and action plans were drawn up for execution, taking into account the different strengths and expertise of the various agencies and forces.
DGP J&K Swain and Lt. Gen Sachdeva expressed their deep appreciation for the high level of synergy between the forces and agencies. They also suggested numerous steps to consolidate and elevate this synergy to a different level.
