Srinagar, Nov 24: The Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Thursday announced reward for anyone who will provide information about the terrorist involved in killing of minority community member in south Kashmir’s Shopian district in October this year.
Quoting ADGP Kumar, Kashmir Zone Police said that, “During investigation of case FIR No 211/2022 of PS Shopian pertaining to killing of Kashmiri Pandit Shri Puran Krishan Bhat of Chowdharygund by terrorists on 15th October, one Mohd Latief Lone S/O Nisar Ahmad of Check Kachidoora was found involved in this heinous terror crime.”
He said that the said killer is missing from his home since 12th November. Any person giving any information about accused Mohd Latief Lone will be suitably rewarded by Police.
On 15th October, Pooran Krishan Bhat, son of Darkinath Bhat, a resident of the Chowdary Gund Shopian was shot dead by two pistol-borne terrorists outside his home.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha condemned the terrorist killing of a Kashmiri Pandit in the Shopian district and assured that the perpetrators will be severely punished.
The 56-year-old, Bhat is survived by his 41-year-old wife, a daughter, and a son. Hs daughter is in class V while the son reads in class VII.
