Srinagar, Aug 22: Director General of Border Security Force Daljit Singh Chawdhary Thursday reviewed the security situation along the International Border (IB) in Jammu.
He also visited Border Outposts and witnessed the operational preparedness of field formations in the Samba-Kathua sector and Sunderbani sector on his two-day visit to the Jammu frontier.
A BSF Spokesman told Rising Kashmir that “DG BSF Shri Daljit Singh Chawdhary, IPS, visited the Jammu Frontier on 21-22 August 2024. He reviewed border management and interacted with officers & troops during the Border visit,” he said.
The spokesman said DG also interacted with all ranks and commended them for their professionalism and dedication. He also reviewed the operational preparedness along IB.
“He interacted with the troops stationed in the area and interacted with troops & applauded them for their unwavering performance in challenging situations. The troops’ dedication and commitment to their duty were acknowledged,” he said.
The spokesman said this visit underscores the BSF’s ongoing efforts to ensure the highest level of operational readiness along the IB. It also serves as a testament to the organization’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in the region.
“BSF continues to prioritize regular assessments and interactions to ensure that its forces remain prepared to tackle any contingencies that may arise along the borders,” he added.
