Jammu, Mar 23: Representatives of Special Cells for Women, established under the Violence-Free Home – A Woman’s Right initiative, implemented by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) with support from the National Commission for Women (NCW), on Sunday called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, and sought his intervention for the continuation of the Special Cells in UT of Jammu Kashmir.
A delegation of Sri Brahman Sabha Kathua met the Lieutenant Governor and apprised him of the issue pertaining to the beautification and development of Bhagwan Shri Parshuram Ji Chowk, near Degree College in Kathua.
The Lieutenant Governor assured the members of the delegations that appropriate action will be taken for redressal of the issues projected by them.
Subsequently, Vandana Kumari, former Sarpanch, Flora Nagbani Jammu and Praveen Sood, President, SkiMo India (a ski mountaineering sports promotion Federation) also called on the Lieutenant Governor.
