DDC Gbl reviews preparedness for upcoming MTMP 2.0 program

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today convened a meeting of district officers to review the preparedness for the upcoming “My Town My Pride (MTMP) 2.0” programme.

At the outset, the meeting discussed the activities being carried out during the ongoing seven day Jan Abhiyan that has commenced prior to the two-day long ‘My Town My Pride’ program, in all the wards of Municipal Council Ganderbal from 28th November.

During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on the ongoing activities like town beautification plan, awareness regarding online services by all departments, sports activities, tourism and culture plan, etc.

All the Officers and field functionaries of different Departments were directed to keep officials available during the program in all wards of the town to aware the public about the Government schemes and welfare programs and provide benefits to the common masses under these schemes at the doorsteps.

Speaking in the meeting, the DC said that during the two-day long flagship program ‘My Town My Pride’ camps would be conducted in all Municipal wards to listen to the public grievances and provide people with different Government services at their doorsteps.

He exhorted upon the stakeholder departments to put in all-out efforts to realize the set goals by reaching out to urban population with Governance at their doorsteps and ensuring on spot redressal of their issues and grievances.

All line departments and NGOs were directed to install stalls during the two-day programme in the lawns of Mini Secretariat Complex Ganderbal to provide online services and other facilities to the people.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; DySP, Feroz Yehya; ADC, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah; CPO, ACR, ACD, EO Municipal Council Ganderbal and other district Officers.
