Poonch, Aug 10: On the eve of Raksha Bandhan, Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma Sunday visited the revered Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Mandir in Mandi to extend warm greetings to the people of Poonch.A statement issued here said that during the visit, the DC met with Swami Vishwatmanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, sought blessings and engaged in spiritual discourse. He also performed the Hawan Puja and participated in the community langar, a cherished tradition of the festival. Additional District Development Commissioner Poonch Pankaj Magotra, Executive Engineer PWD and other senior officers attended the occasion. While at the mandir, the DC inspected the existing infrastructure, including the Yatri Bhavan. He directed Executive Engineer PWD to undertake immediate repairs and renovations and further instructed the construction of a new community hall, a rain shelter shed and an additional floor to the tourist building to enhance facilities for pilgrims and tourists. Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited Dera Santpura Nangali Sahib and Ziyarat Sai Mira Baksh, where he paid obeisance.
