Srinagar, Dec 16: In order to finalize the action plan for successful implementation of Mission Yuva Udhayami Vikas Abhiyan in the district, a meeting was convened under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat to discuss the effective execution of the mission.
A statement said that the DC held a detailed discussion focused on the effective execution of the mission, strategies to identify, deployment and training of manpower and ensuring effective coordination and collaboration among the departments and other stakeholders.
“During the meeting, key action points, roles of line departments were outlined to ensure the Mission’s objectives are met effectively and efficiently,” the statement said. “The DC highlighted the objectives of the Mission Yuva Udhayami Vikas Abhiyan launched by the Government for creating new micro enterprises, expanding existing ones and collectives, and promoting new enterprises based on innovative ideas in J&K with a view to create sustainable employment opportunities.”
The statement said that the strategy is to build an ecosystem for developing entrepreneurial culture, facilitate capacity building, and provide opportunities for access to finance and capital.
“The DC stressed the Officers to give focused attention on efficient planning for conducting the baseline survey of existing and potential entrepreneurs in the district. He stressed on proper monitoring of the process of survey by the concerned Officers at their respective level and sensitizing their staff deployed regarding the implementation of Mission YUVA,” the statement said, adding that the initiative is being monitored at a high level and urged all stakeholders to work in mission mode for its successful implementation.
The DC underlined that the survey will serve as a foundation for planning and implementing future development projects. “Training of staff is pivotal for successful survey, decision-making and effective execution of the Mission,” the statement said. “He also asked for setting up a robust Control Room at District level for effective management and coordination and monitoring of Baseline Survey and successful implementation of the Mission YUVA.”
