DC Kupwara chairs ‘Block Divas’ at Qaziabad

Kupwara, Aug 30: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan Wednesday chaired the proceedings of Mega Block Diwas at Panchayat Bhawan Kralgund at Block Qaziabad (Handwara) in presence of the Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori.
During the Block Diwas, PRIs and local residents apprised the DDC of some important issues faced by the people of the area which include construction of sanitary complex in main Market Kralgund, SRTC Bus Service between Srinagar and Kralgund, establishment of women Degree college in Qaziabad etc.
The DDC patiently listened to all the issues and demands put forth by the PRIs and locals and directed the concerned officers to redress the genuine grievances in a time bound manner.
On the occasion, the DDC directed Tehsildar Kralgund to identify the state land for construction of community Sanitary Complex at Kralgund market.
The DDC urged people to support and cooperate in execution of different developmental projects.
She asked all departments to provide online services within stipulated time frame as it is people’s right to get these services in proper time.
The DDC directed officers of Social Welfare department to resolve the issues of old age and widow pension.
Earlier, ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir presented a developmental overview of Block Qaziabad to the DDC.
Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara sought the support of people of Kralgund for identification of land for construction of washrooms at Kralgund market.
Block Diwas was attended by ADC Handwara, SE JJM, BDC Qaziabad, District level officers of all line departments, PRIs, Numberdars and a large number of people of block Qaziabad.
