DC Gbl visits mosques, shrines to review arrangements for upcoming festivals

Ganderbal, March 26: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, Wednesday conducted an extensive visit to various religious places across Ganderbal town to assess the arrangements being made for the upcoming observances of Shab-e-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr.

During his visit, the DC inspected key religious sites, including the Qamar-ud-Din Bukhari Shrine, Eidgah Duderhama, and Jama Masjid Beehama, where he interacted with the respective management committees to review preparations for the smooth conduct of the festivals.

Emphasizing the importance of sanitation, the DC directed the Executive Officer, Municipal Council Ganderbal, to launch intensive cleanliness drives around major mosques and shrines to ensure a hygienic environment for devotees. Additionally, the Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti and PDD were instructed to ensure uninterrupted water and electricity supply during the festive days, facilitating a hassle-free experience for the devotees. On the occasion the DC assured the management committees that all necessary arrangements will be put in place for the convenience of the public and urged the concerned departments to work in close coordination to facilitate a smooth and peaceful celebration of the upcoming religious occasions. The DC was accompanied by SSP Ganderbal, Ragav S, Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Gulzar Ahmad, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Executive Engineer KPDCL, Tehsildar Ganderbal, EO Municipality, Tehsildar Ganderbal and other concerned officials during the visit.
