DAP holds candlelight protest, express solidarity with Rajouri firing victims

Jammu, Jan 04: Democratic Azad Party (DAP) Wednesday organized a candle light protest at Jammu press club against the innocent killings at Dangri village in Rajouri on Sunday.
According to a statement issued to Rising Kashmir, the party leaders along with their dozens of workers while holding the candles in their hands to express solidarity with the victim families shouted slogans against the terrorists responsible for the killing of six civilians including two children in Dangri village.
On the occasion, the General Secretary RS Chib said that they are denouncing the cowardly act of terrorists and demand stern action against them. “This was a barbaric and cowardly act by terrorists to kill innocent civilians. We demand stern action against them,” he said.
Party Chief Spokesperson Salman Nizami said that the people of Rajouri have themselves given a clear message to these terrorists while standing united and defeating their attempts of striking communal discord. “People of Rajouri stood united and sent a clear message to the perpetrators of this crime that no one can cause any disharmony among them. It was a clear defeat to terrorism,” he added and urged the local administration to ensure all injured are provided proper medical relief and the next of kins are provided jobs and relief without any delay.
Among others present on the occasion were Vice Chairman DAP G.M.Saroori, Provincial President Jammu Jugal Kishore Sharma, Choudhary Gharu Ram, Maheshwar Singh, Hira Lal Abrol, Sobat Ali, Ashwani Handa, Vishal Chopra, Sunita Arora, Nirmal Singh Mehta, Rajini Sharma, Santosh Magotra, Shahrukh Bhatti, Anil Kohli, Anoop Khajuria & others.
