Pulwama, June 20: As part of the ongoing nationwide campaign Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), district administration Pulwama today organised a mega awareness and benefit saturation camp at Machama Tral.

The initiative aims to ensure last-mile delivery of essential government services and the saturation of welfare schemes across tribal areas through focused and coordinated outreach.

Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Tral, Rafiq Ahmad Naik, and DDC Member Tral, Dr. Harbaksh Singh attended the event.

Representatives interacted with the tribal community, listened to their concerns, and acknowledged the importance of direct engagement in bridging service gaps.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Tral highlighted the need to prioritise saturation of all government schemes and welfare initiatives in tribal villages. He directed officials to ensure timely and efficient delivery of entitlements.

A wide range of government departments including Health, Education, Social Welfare, Rural Development, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Forest, and others had set up dedicated stalls at the venue to provide on-the-spot services. These stalls offered real-time enrolments, consultations, and awareness regarding various beneficiary-centric schemes, ensuring immediate access to services.

Special health camps were organised by the Health department to offer basic diagnostic services and free medical consultations. Health teams also conducted awareness sessions on water-borne diseases, early detection protocols, and safe drinking practices as part of the preventive healthcare initiative.

Participating departments facilitated enrolments under several flagship schemes including Jal Jeevan Mission (Functional Household Tap Connection), MGNREGA Job Cards, PMAY-G, and PM Ujjwala Yojana among others. Eligible citizens were guided and assisted on-spot to ensure that all entitled beneficiaries receive timely coverage under these government schemes.

The camp witnessed an overwhelming response from tribal residents, who lauded the administration’s efforts to bring governance and welfare services to their doorstep. Locals appreciated the DAJGUA initiative as a step toward inclusive governance, empowerment, and equitable access to public services.
