Srinagar, JAN 21: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today launched the 2025 wall and table calendars, along with trekking maps, at a ceremony held at the Civil Secretariat. The initiative was organized by the Department of Tourism, Jammu and Kashmir, as part of its efforts to promote the region’s rich tourism potential.
The launch event was attended by Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, Additional Chief Secretary Dheeraj Gupta, Commissioner Secretary Tourism Yasha Mudgal, and Directors of Tourism from Kashmir and Jammu, among other key officials.
The 2025 calendars feature stunning visuals of the breathtaking landscapes, cultural heritage, and tourist treasures of Jammu and Kashmir. The trekking maps highlight prominent trails in the region, including the Kolahoi Glacier Trek, Khrew-Wasterwan Trail, Gurez-Sonamarg Trek, Sarbal Bear Valley Trek, and Margan Pass Tsoharmarg Trek.
Commending the efforts of the Tourism Department, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah emphasized the significance of these initiatives in promoting the state as a premier travel destination. “These calendars and trekking maps will serve as essential tools, offering detailed information about our region’s stunning tourist destinations and trekking routes. This initiative will help attract more visitors to explore the natural beauty and adventure opportunities that Jammu and Kashmir has to offer,” he said.
