Awantipora, Feb 16: Centre for Innovations and Entrepreneurship Development, IUST under the aegis of its Women Entrepreneurship Development Cell today organised a one-day Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Program for students and faculty members of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Naira, Pulwama, with the aim to inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship and creative thinking among the young and budding minds.
The participants attended sessions on Innovation in Education, Women Entrepreneurship, prospects of Innovations, and Entrepreneurship besides taking an extensive tour of the different facilities such as Design Innovation Centre (DIC), Robotics Lab, and Skill Enhancement Cell of the campus where they interacted with the senior faculty and researchers of the university. On this occasion, Dr. Parvez Ahmed Mir, Director CIED, encouraged the participants to think innovatively and talked about different facilities and support provided to the innovators and entrepreneurs at CIED IUST. Dr. Rumaan Bashir, Coordinator, WEDC talked about successful women entrepreneurs who have broken the glass ceiling and have excelled.
