Chairperson DDC Budgam to contest from Beerwah AC

Budgam, Aug 23: Chairperson of the District Development Council (DDC) Budgam, Nazir Ahmad Khan will be contesting Assembly elections from the Beerwah Assembly constituency.
Speaking to the Rising Kashmir, Nazir Ahmad Khan confirmed the same and said, “I will be contesting the Assembly elections from the Beerwah Assembly constituency.”
He further clarified, “I have not yet made a decision regarding contesting the Assembly elections under the banner of any political party. However, I am committed to contest Assembly elections from the Beerwah constituency.”
Khan also revealed his plans to organize a workers’ convention in Warihama Beerwah.
In previous Assembly elections , Nazir Ahmad Khan had contested from the Beerwah Assembly constituency as a Congress candidate, where he faced defeat against former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
He has successfully won the DDC elections from the Beerwah Block and currently serves as the chairperson of the District Development Council Budgam.
