In a powerful show of solidarity and peaceful protest, hundreds of people marched from KP chowk to Shaheed Humayun Muzamil Degree Collage to participate in a candlelight march, condemning the recent terror attack in Behibaag village of Kulgam.

The attack, which tragically claimed the life of an ex-army man and left his wife and niece injured, has shocked and saddened the local community.

The march, which was organized by local residents and community groups, aimed to express outrage over the violence and reaffirm a united stance against such acts of terror. Participants, holding candles as a symbol of peace, stood together in remembrance of the victim and to demand justice. The candles also served as a beacon of hope for an end to the violence that has plagued the region.

The peaceful gathering resonated with calls for justice for the victim and his family, while also denouncing the targeted killings that continue to affect innocent civilians. “We stand together, in mourning and in hope, for an end to violence,” said one of the organizers, emphasizing the need for unity and resilience in the face of terror.

Protesters expressed their sad sorrow over the incident, with many voicing their commitment to standing firm against terrorism and promoting peace in the region.

“We cannot allow such senseless acts of violence to divide us. We are here to show that we will not be intimidated, and we will continue to demand justice for the victims of these tragic attacks,” stated another participant in the march.

The candlelight march in Anantnag served as a poignant reminder of the power of peaceful protests in the face of violence, and the unwavering resolve of the people to stand against terrorism.
