Baramulla, Nov 03: Unidentified burglars struck the Fish Market area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla, looting two shops during the night hours on Thursday.
The local shopkeepers claimed that the burglars made away with cash and valuable items, causing significant financial losses to the affected shopkeepers.
The shopkeepers said that the targeted shops included a stationary store and a kiryana shop, with the stolen items estimated to be worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.
Expressing deep concern over the rising incidents of burglaries in the town, they have collectively called for a comprehensive investigation and the swift apprehension of those responsible for the criminal acts.
A police officer confirmed that a case has been registered in connection with the incident, and an immediate investigation has been launched.
“The police are diligently examining the situation from all possible angles to unravel the motive and identify the culprits behind the daring burglaries,” he said.
