Bullet-riddled body of abducted army jawan recovered in Anantnag forests

Srinagar, Oct 10: Security forces on Wednesday recovered the bullet-ridden body of a Territorial Army (TA) soldier, who was abducted alongwith another soldier by terrorists in Anantnag district of southern Kashmir, officials said.
As per police officials, two TA soldiers were abducted from the forest area in Anantnag, however, one of them managed to escape.
“Two jawans of the Territorial Army were abducted by terrorists in the forest area of Anantnag. However, one of the jawans has managed to come back,” he said.
The injured soldier was rushed to a medical facility for necessary treatment and his condition remains stable, police said.
Following which, security forces launched a massive search operation to locate Army Jawan’s, and once the body was spotted, it was taken to a hospital for medical formalities.
Meanwhile on Wednesday, a dead body of Army jawan Hilal Ahmad Bhat, who went missing on Tuesday was recovered from the Sanglan forest area in Utrasoo, Anantnag.
In a post on X, Srinagar-based Chinar Corps Spokesman said that based on intelligence input, a joint counter terrorist operation was launched by Indian Army along with @JmuKmrPolice and other agencies in Kazwan Forest Kokernag on October 8, 24.
“Operation continued overnight as one soldier of the Territorial Army was reported missing,” he said.
Meanwhile, Indian Army expressed condolences to the bereaved family members of Rfn Hilal Ahmad Bhat, who had been abducted by terrorists in Anantnag.
In another post, Chinar Corps said that “Chinar Corps honours the supreme sacrifice of the Braveheart, Rfn Hilal Ahmad Bhat, in line of duty for the Nation.
“His courage and dedication will forever inspire us. Indian Army expresses deepest condolences and stands in solidarity with the bereaved family,” the spokesman said.

LG pays homage to braveheart
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha laid wreath and paid homage to Rfn Hilal Ahmad Bhat, who laid down his life in the line of duty for the Nation.
“I salute the supreme sacrifice of our Army braveheart Rfn Hilal Ahmad Bhat. His valour and sacrifice will never be forgotten. The entire nation stands firmly with the family of the martyr in this hour of grief,” the Lt Governor said.

The Indian Army expressed condolences to the bereaved family members of Rfn Hilal Ahmad Bhat, who had been abducted by terrorists in the Anantnag area of Jammu and Kashmir.
