Srinagar, Mar 19: Several prominent political and social leaders from the Srinagar and Kulgam districts joined the Apni Party during special events held at the party headquarters in Srinagar on Tuesday.
On these occasions, the party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, gave a warm welcome to the new entrants and assured them that the entire party leadership would stand by them when they go out to serve the people in their respective areas, the Apni Party said in a statement issued here.
The new entrants from Srinagar included prominent social activist from Srinagar’s Nowgam area Ms Sheraz Malik, Irfan Ahmad from Sonawar, Shabir Ahmad from Lasjan, Burhan from Zewan, Danish from Bemina, Shabir Ahmad from Sonwar, Ashraf Wani from Lasjan, and their associates.
The new entrant from Kulgam was Sareer Ahmad Sheikh, former Vice Chairman Municipal Committee Kulgam. The party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari along with several senior party leaders greeted these new members into the party fold. The prominent party leaders who were present on the occasion included the party’s Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi, Vice Chairperson DDC Kulgam Shazia Jan, General Secretary of the party’s ST Wing Khalid Badhana, Constituency IN Charge Langate Khwaja Munawar, Senior Leader Dawood Lodhi, District Youth President Kulgam Mohammad Ashraf Dar, Youth President Uri Sajad Ahmad Sheikh, and others.
